AUsome Moms Brunch

This past May, AUsome Moms, a registered nonprofit serving mothers of autistic children throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, hosted its annual Mother's Day Brunch at Didi's Downtown in Frisco. Thanks to the generous support of Ewing Subaru of Plano, 50 mothers enjoyed a beautiful brunch, received Starbucks gift cards, and were entered into drawings for flowers, gift certificates, and many other wonderful prizes. The brunch is more than just a special event—it provides an opportunity for mothers to connect with others walking a similar path. It is a time to relax, socialize, and feel the love and support of a caring community. The recognition that special needs parenting often comes with unique challenges helps mothers feel seen, valued, and supported. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ewing Subaru of Plano for its continued partnership and generosity. Your support truly makes a difference in the lives of the families we serve and helps strengthen our community of autism moms. With gratitude, The AUsome Moms Board

SUBARU + MINNIES Warming Hearts, One Coat at A Time

Through the Subaru Love Promise and the generous donation of warm winter coats, children and families across North Texas have experienced comfort, dignity, and hope during the coldest months of the year. These coats have helped ease financial burdens for families facing hardship, ensuring that children can attend school, play outside, and travel safely without worrying about the weather. More than just providing warmth, each coat represents a community coming together to support neighbors in need. One North Texas mother shared how she was struggling to make ends meet. As temperatures dropped, she worried about how she would keep her children warm, and so did we at Minnie's, as we saw them bracing the cold with no outerwear protection. Because of the Operation Warm jackets shared with Minnie's through the Subaru Love Promise, each child received a new winter coat. The children proudly wore their coats, feeling confident and cared for, while their mother felt a tremendous sense of relief. What may have seemed like a simple gift became a meaningful reminder that their community had not forgotten them, bringing warmth, comfort, and hope during a challenging season.

Ewing Subaru of Plano Helps Lovepacs Feed Kids in Need

Ewing Subaru of Plano made it possible for Lovepacs to feed 685 children who rely on school meals by providing a $24,100 Share the Love contribution. Their support ensured every child had enough food for the entire week-long Thanksgiving break, relieving stress for families facing food insecurity. Ewing Subaru of Plano’s partnership goes beyond generosity; they consistently show genuine care for the kids in our community. Their commitment inspires our volunteers and community members, many of whom choose to support their dealership because of the impact they make. Thank you, Ewing Subaru of Plano, for helping us ensure no child goes hungry when school is out.

Ewing Subaru and DFW Rescue Me Raises Over $146,000 for Abused and Neglected Animals at Gala

DFW Rescue Me held their 11th annual "Kibble and Cocktails" gala, successfully raising over $146,000 for the organization's life-saving work. The event, which took place at the Legacy Food Hall in Plano, TX, drew over 350 attendees and was spearheaded by the Top Dog Sponsor, Ewing Subaru of Plano. The funds raised directly benefit the Justice Fund, which provides critical medical care and a chance of a loving life for dogs who are victims of abuse or neglect. The fund is named in honor of Justice, a puppy whose tragic story 10 years ago spurred DFW Rescue Me into action. Justice was doused with lighter fluid and set on fire by four men; while the puppy eventually succumbed to his injuries, his case became the first animal cruelty case successfully prosecuted in Dallas, paving the way for stronger legal pursuit of animal abusers. “Justice suffered unspeakable acts of cruelty, but DFW Rescue Me chose to focus on the impact his life had,” the organization stated. “The Justice Fund continues today to provide dogs who are the victims of abuse, or neglect with necessary medical care and the opportunity to know kindness of the human hand. Something they all deserve.” As a 100% volunteer-based foster shelter, DFW Rescue Me relies on events like "Kibble and Cocktails" to secure the massive resources required to operate. These resources cover everything from finding fosters and providing extensive medical care to transporting rescued animals across the country to find loving forever homes. With an estimated six to eight million dogs and cats euthanized in shelters each year and millions more suffering from abandonment, the need for DFW Rescue Me’s mission is urgent. The "Kibble and Cocktails" event featured several adoptable dogs mingling throughout the venue, giving attendees a chance to see the direct beneficiaries of their donations. Guests enjoyed live music while bidding on items in a silent auction. This year, the success of the gala was significantly boosted by Ewing Subaru of Plano's generous sponsorship. In addition to being the Top Dog Sponsor, the dealership supplied attendees with Subaru-branded reusable grocery bags full of giveaways and swag. The high point of the evening came when Ewing Subaru of Plano’s efforts led to a surprise donation: their local Subaru Zone Office presented DFW Rescue Me with a $25,000 check on stage. “Without sponsors like Ewing Subaru of Plano none of what we do would be possible,” DFW Rescue Me expressed. “We cannot thank them enough for their generosity! They truly live up to Subaru’s Love Promise and being More than a Car Dealer!

Supporting Educators with New Teacher Welcome Bags

Every year, the Plano Chamber of Commerce welcomes hundreds of new educators to the Plano ISD community with thoughtfully curated New Teacher Welcome Bags—a small gesture with a big impact. These bags are filled with school supplies, local business goodies, and encouraging messages to help kick off the school year with warmth, excitement, and support. This year, thanks to Subaru’s generosity, we were able to make those welcome bags even more meaningful. Through the Subaru Love Promise, Subaru donated items that helped equip and encourage more than 600 new teachers as they stepped into their classrooms for the very first time. These contributions weren’t just supplies—they were a symbol of community care and the belief that teachers deserve to feel supported from day one. To make it even more special, members of the Chamber staff and volunteers gathered to pack the bags together, turning the project into a full-circle moment of community connection. Subaru’s support made it possible to deliver a stronger message: you are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone. The Plano Chamber is deeply grateful to Subaru for their commitment to education and the local community. Their partnership allowed us to show up for teachers in a tangible, heartfelt way—and that ripple of encouragement will be felt in classrooms all across Plano. Subaru didn’t just donate supplies. They helped us deliver a promise.

AUsome Moms

On behalf of AUsome Moms, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous contribution to our 2025 Mother’s Day Brunch, held on May 3rd in Frisco. Your support helped make this special gathering possible, and we’re truly grateful for your partnership. AUsome Moms is a nonprofit organization serving mothers and female caregivers of individuals with autism in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. We exist to create a sense of connection, provide support, and build community for women navigating the unique challenges of parenting and caregiving in the world of autism. At the center of our work is a private Facebook group where our members can ask questions, offer advice, and find comfort among other women who understand. That virtual space allows us to share knowledge, experiences, and support in a way that is meaningful and practical for families raising children on the autism spectrum. But we don’t stop there. AUsome Moms hosts a variety of in-person events throughout the year, giving our members opportunities to connect face-to-face. These include regular Moms’ Nights Out, two annual family events, and our signature AUsome Resource Fair. We’re also proud to offer grants to help families cover the costs of sensory therapy and swim lessons—two important services that are often difficult to access or afford. One of our most anticipated gatherings each year is our Mother’s Day Brunch. This event gives moms and caregivers a chance to come together in a relaxed setting and enjoy a morning just for them. This year, we welcomed 50 women from across the metroplex to a beautiful brunch in Frisco, and your generous support helped make it all happen. The event provided our members with the opportunity to share time with others who understand the demands and joys of caring for someone with autism. It was a morning filled with connection, conversation, and community. Your sponsorship helped create a welcoming and well-organized space that allowed our guests to feel appreciated and supported. It’s always encouraging to see businesses like Ewing Subaru giving back to the community in such thoughtful ways. Your commitment to local causes makes a real difference, and we’re honored to be among the organizations you chose to support. Your generosity reflects a strong dedication to compassion, inclusion, and community involvement—all values we share. As we continue our work throughout the year, your support helps fuel everything we do. Whether it’s organizing our resource fair, awarding grants, or planning our next family event, knowing we have committed partners like you behind us makes a lasting difference. It allows us to serve more families, reach more moms, and continue building the community we’ve worked so hard to grow. We thank you again for your generous contribution to this year’s Mother’s Day Brunch. It was a pleasure to host the event and to welcome our members into such a well-supported environment. We’re proud of what we accomplished together and appreciate your role in making it possible. We look forward to the opportunity to work with Ewing Subaru again in the future and hope this marks the beginning of a lasting partnership. Thank you once more for your support and belief in our mission.

Ewing Subaru of Plano Loves the Earth with the Arbor Day Foundation

At Ewing Subaru of Plano, we care deeply about our community and are committed to keeping our neighborhoods vibrant and healthy now and for generations to come. Trees are vital to this effort — they provide oxygen, cool our community, filter water, clean the air, prevent flooding, and improve health. But every year, our community loses trees due to age, disease, infestation, and extreme weather. Subaru and retailers like us are proud to partner with the Arbor Day Foundation to help address this problem. This spring as part of our Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, Ewing Subaru of Plano provided and distributed 100 mature, regionally appropriate trees that will benefit communities for generations. This year alone, Subaru and its retailers provided and distributed 100,000 trees to communities across the country. Through this new partnership and other initiatives, Subaru and retailers like us have helped distribute and plant over 1.1 million trees so far — and this is just the beginning. Ewing Subaru of Plano Helps Raise $160000 for Animals in Need

DFW Rescue me would like to thank Ewing Subaru of Plano for being our Top Dog Sponsor for the 10th annual “Kibble and Cocktails” event where we successfully raised over $160,000 to support animals in need! Ten years ago, DFW Rescue ME rushed to the aid of a puppy who would come to be known as “Justice”. You can read Justice's complete story here: https://www.dfwrescueme.org/justices-story.html. Justice was a puppy who was doused with lighter fluid and set on fire by four men. DFW Rescue ME tried to save this puppy’s life, but despite all the efforts, he succumbed to his injuries. Justice was the first case of animal cruelty prosecuted in Dallas – he paved the way for law enforcement and the legal system to pursue and prosecute animal cruelty cases. While Justice suffered unspeakable acts of cruelty, DFW Rescue Me chose to focus on the impact his life had and created the Justice Fund in his honor. The Justice Fund continues today to provide dogs who are the victims of abuse, or neglect with necessary medical care and the opportunity to know kindness of the human hand. Something they all deserve. It’s estimated that six to eight million dogs and cats are euthanized in shelters each year and millions more are abandoned, only to suffer from illness or injury before dying. For us to achieve our mission and help as many animals as possible it requires a large amount of resources to find fosters, provide medical care for the animals we rescue, and transport them across the country to find them loving homes. Being a 100% volunteer based foster shelter DFW Rescue Me holds an annual event called “Kibble and Cocktails” at a local food / concert hall to fund the Justice Fund and secure enough resources to continue saving animals lives. During the event we show off several of our adoptable dogs throughout the venue all while people bid on items in a silent auction with live music playing in the background. Over 350 people attended the event and Ewing Subaru of Plano supplied them all with Subaru branded reusable grocery bags full of giveaways and swag. In addition, Ewing Subaru of Plano gained support from their local Subaru Zone Office, who presented a $5,000 check to DFW Rescue Me on stage that night! This was such a surprise to all the attendees that another donor decided to match the $5,000 Subaru donation! Without sponsors like Ewing Subaru of Plano none of what we do would be possible. We cannot thank them enough for their generosity! The truly live up to Subaru’s Love Promise and being More than a Car Dealer!

Every May in this North Texas event, close to 1,000 bicyclists will ride up to 150 miles over 2 days to raise money for research and support of patients with MS. Well over $1 million is raised each year locally and $40 million nationally. A Promise of Hope for Genesis

Because of Ewing Subaru's ongoing support of Genesis Women's Shelter & Support, we are able to provide safety, shelter and hope to more than 3700 women and children each year as they take their first steps away from domestic abuse. We know that 1 in 4 women will experience abuse in her lifetime. In Texas, this number is 1 in 3. Recently, Andrea* arrived to our emergency shelter with a broken leg, wearing nothing but the hospital gown from her recent emergency room visit. Upon her arrival, we were able to quickly provide her with new, comfortable clothing and shoes, full size personal and toiletry items, a clean comfortable bedroom and warm healthy meals. We were also able to provide Andrea with a wheelchair to easily move around our safe campus independently while her leg healed. We were also able to pair Andrea with a master's level therapist and advocate who work with her daily to navigate the post-traumatic stress symptoms and help her recover from the horrific abuse she has endured. Because of Subaru's support, we are able to help women like Andrea take their next steps toward healing - healing from the physical, verbal, emotional, financial and sexual abuse. When a survivor reaches out to Genesis for help, we like to learn what HER goals are for herself and for her children. We then provide the life-saving resources necessary to help her reach those goals. Subaru's ongoing support allows Genesis to provide a promise of hope for Genesis clients, including emergency shelter, transitional housing, onsite schooling for children, play therapy, occupational therapy, individual and group counseling, civial legal representation and more, all at no-cost, no strings attached! Thank you, Ewing Subaru of Plano, Texas! *Client's name changed for confidentiality.

Subaru Plano + Minnie's Food Pantry Keeping Kids Warm

Texas weather is NO JOKE! When it gets cold, it gets really cold!! We are so grateful for our friends at Subaru of Plano for donating hundreds of warm coats for children served through our programs. At Minnie's, we focus on low income families, providing them will free and healthy meals, educational resources and basic life necessities. Having access to warm clothing during the winter months is a basic need that every child deserves to have met. As a non-profit that interacts with the community on a daily basis, serving families both onsite and throughout the community through our On the Go distributions, we have seen countless children over the years without socks, jackets, and shoes. Thanks to our friends at Subaru Plano, who hand delivered these items to Minnie's, we have been able to keep kids healthy and warm, even when the temperatures drop to below freezing wind-chills!

Ewing Subaru of Plano hosted Abandoned Pet Project for an adoption event on 10/21/23 and it brought so much joy to the customers, staff, volunteers, and especially the animals! They were greeted by so many smiling faces, pets, play, and cuddles! The pups all got toys and such to take home and were each able to have a private photoshoot in the amazing dog park at Subaru! The customers and staff were generous in donations, we were able to spread awareness about our animals and mission, had people signing up to volunteer and foster, even having one employee sign up to foster. Devin fell for a sweet but shy puppy, Greta, we had there with one of her siblings and decided he wanted to bring her home and help her learn how to dog and come out of her shell. Well, after a few weeks Devin and family decided they just couldn't part with Greta and she is in the process of becoming a permanent member of the family! We're so happy for everyone involved and congrats to Greta on finding her FURever at Subaru!

Ewing Subaru of Plano supports vocational training for adults with disabilities.

At My Possibilities, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for the incredible support from Ewing Subaru of Plano. Their generous donation of $28,500 has supported My Possibilities during a time of remarkable growth. In 2023, we were able to expand our Plano campus by adding a second building, the Employment Innovations School. This addition empowers us to provide hands-on vocational training to an additional 300 adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, preparing them for inclusive careers. Ewing Subaru of Plano's gift is a shining example of kindness and compassion, lighting the way to a brighter, more inclusive world. We are deeply thankful for their continued partnership, which is not just changing lives but also spreading love in our community.

Picture This!

Subaru is well known for their community activism and support of local causes. We here in North Texas are especially fortunate to have Ewing Subaru in our corner. Several times a year, Kathy Gaden, who is a professional pet photographer and wife of Subaru manager, Jeff Gaden, hosts a photo event at the retailer. Pet owners are invited to come and have professional portraits taken of their pets at no cost. They are encouraged to make a donation to the animal welfare organization that Kathy selects. We at Going Home, A Rescue Transport, have been the beneficiary of this event several times. In addition to the money donated by the pet-parents, Ewing Subaru makes a very sizable donation to us. This event is great fun and our volunteers are always eager to participate. Tamala and all the staff at Ewing Subaru go out of their way to make us feel welcome, including feeding us lunch! Everyone is a good sport with cats, dogs and even guinea pigs all around the retailer floor. With her professional backdrops and props, Kathy produces some amazing photographs. She takes all the time she needs with each pet to get the perfect shot. Because of their generosity, we are able to continue our mission to transport street and shelter animals out of harm's way and give them a second chance of a happy life. Ewing Subaru of Plano truly "walks the walk" when it comes to spreading love in our community.

Mother of Life Center Fundraiser

Our Students For Life Group outreached to Subaru and met with Bruce Morrow. We were met with genuine kindness and ultimately gifted with so much support. Bruce's generosity helped reach our goal of donating over $1,000 to the Mother of Life Center. In addition to financial support, we got to meet Bruce's puppies and felt the contagious happiness all around the room. We truly appreciate Bruce's time and effort and I will continue to recommend Subaru because it is full of charismatic workers. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!!

The Subaru "Love" Connection

In February, we were once again invited to participate in a fundraising event that is sponsored several times a year by Ewing Subaru in Plano. The spouse of the manager is a very talented professional pet photographer and she offers professional shoots to the public at no cost. Donations are encouraged and go 100% to the non profit. These events are usually scheduled around holidays. We operate on a shoestring and this event coupled with the very generous check we receive from the dealership has allowed us to easily reach our fundraising goals for the past three years. Ewing Subaru in Plano really "walks the walk" in their support of the local non profit community, especially animal related entities. We are so grateful to Ewing Subaru, the Gadens and all the folks at the dealership who make this such a fun and profitable event.

Sock for emergency shelters

Hope's Door New Beginning Center is a 501c3 nonprofit serving Greater DFW, Dallas and Collin counties in Texas, Our mission is to provide safety and services to those affected by family violence. We have two emergency shelters providing safety for up to 54 women and children at a time. Often those we shelter come with very little in the way of personal belongings as many must flee to safety with little time to pack. Ewing Subaru has been a wonderful supporter of our shelters. They provided blankets one winter and most recently provided four boxes of new socks for the women and children we serve in our shelters. This may not seem like a big deal for those of us who do not have to worry about clean socks but to someone who has so little, a new pair of sock means so much! We want to share this story and raise awareness about the compassion Subaru has for those in need in the community. We are most grateful for their support.

Happily Ever After

I would watch Vet Ranch on YouTube every Saturday morning and I loved following each animal’s story. One day I checked out the Abandoned Pet Project’s website and saw Happy. He was a precious little thing listed as a fospice due to heart issues from heartworms, and I was worried that would make him less adoptable. A few weeks later Abandoned Pet Project had an adoption event near me. I decided to stop in quickly to see Happy in person. And that sealed the deal! He really is happy. His tail is always wagging and he loves giving kisses. I brought him home a couple weeks later and he fit in seamlessly. Now it feels like he’s always been a part of the family. Despite having minor heart issues, he is having the time of his life playing with his dog siblings and cuddling with me. Thank you Ewing Subaru Of Plano, Vet Ranch and Abandoned Pet Project for saving Happy’s life!

Ewing Subaru Provides Possibilities

Thank you, Ewing Subaru of Plano for supporting My Possibilities (MP) in the 2021 Subaru Share the Love Event. MP received a $23,944 donation toward our annual fund to provide continued education and job development and placement for over 600 adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in the North Texas area. Ewing Subaru of Plano has remained a constant community supporter of MP over the past several years, and as such, we have several employees who are dedicated Subaru drivers! Our Director of Clinical Services and Research, Jeanine Alpert, shared that she and her husband have each driven a Subaru for the past 13 years. Her husband, David, cannot wait for the release of the new WRX Hatchback. These generous funds help support the Hugely Important People (HIPsters) at My Possibilities who are an often overlooked, vulnerable population who are all truly deserving of this assistance. We are so grateful for Ewing Subaru for sharing the love and making a difference in North Texas.

Subaru Saving Genesis

We'd like to thank Ewing Subaru of Plano for their incredible gift of $28,846.59 to Genesis Women's Shelter & Support during the 2019 Share the Love Event! As a result of this incredible gift, Genesis was able to provide hope and healing to more than 3,700 women and children this year who have experienced domestic violence. During a global pandemic, so many victims of abuse felt they had nowhere to turn, trapped at home alongside their abusers. But, because of Subaru, Genesis was there to help. With the gift from the Share the Love Event, we were able to provide master's level teletherapy, emergency shelter, PPE supplies, warm meals and legal services to thousands of women and children AT NO COST to them. We are proud to know the team at Ewing Subaru of Plano and are so grateful for their ongoing support and passion to help so many!

LOVE 4 North Texas Food Bank

Thank you to Ewing Subaru of Plano for supporting North Texas Food Bank, member of Feeding America with my “Heart & Soul – Made in the USA” LOVE print campaign. This promotion has lasted the entire month of July 2020. With every new Subaru purchased at Ewing Subaru of Plano in July, purchasers received a donated limited edition of my collage print. 100% of the net proceeds went to The North Texas Food Bank and provided 333 meals for each print. North Texas Food Bank was able to provide a grand total of 45,000 meals across the community during July/Covid-19 supported by Ewing Subaru of Plano and myself, Brenda Bogart. This piece of art will have a story to tell in generations to come. It represents how you helped in a time of great need and how we pulled together as a community to provide the most basic needs for our community. Thank you Ewing Subaru of Plano, we couldn’t do what we did without you!

Subaru Loves Learning

We had the privilege of having Ewing Subaru of Plano visit Harmony Science Academy-Plano and donate tons of STEM-related books and resources to help the students at our school develop a love for reading as well as learning about a variety of STEM topics. These books have been added to our school's library where students are able to read books on a variety of science-related topics of their choice. As a STEM school, we value any opportunity that our students will have to gain more knowledge in a field that is growing quickly. Ewing Subaru of Plano has also graciously donated a $1000 gift certificate to Staples that has helped our campus be able to purchase things for our school. We are truly grateful for the generosity of Ewing Subaru of Plano and the care and commitment they put forth in supporting our students and their education!

Ewing Subaru Blanket Delivery 2019

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of North Texas had the amazing pleasure to partner together with Ewing Subaru on June 26 for their Subaru Loves to Care Program. As one of 8 neighborhood retailers, Ewing delivered 80 blankets and 10 arts and crafts kits to Texas Oncology Plano West, while also conveying hope, warmth, and uplifting words of encouragement to those currently being treated and battling for their lives. Each blanket came along with a personal note of hope written by the customers and staff of Ewing that the patients absolutely loved reading. The Subaru staff personally handed out these blankets and chatted for a few minutes getting to know each patient. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of North Texas is beyond appreciative for the kindness and commitment of Ewing Subaru not only for our mission but also to those in our local community. Seeing the joy on patients’ faces as the blankets were personally delivered was extremely rewarding and heartwarming. We are honored to collaborate with an organization that offers back to the absolute most meriting individuals and carries light to the darkness of a cancer diagnosis.

Ewing Subaru of Plano, heart of gold.

I’m a pet photographer with Picture Perfect Pet Photography and I’m also a volunteer for Take Me Home Pet Rescue in Richardson, and was contacted by Ewing of Subaru of Plano to do a Christmas dog photo shoot for their dealership this past December ‘18. Ewing Subaru of Plano donated $500 to Take Me Home Pet Rescue for the event, and contacted me to do several other events the following months, donating all money to Take Me Home Pet Rescue. I can’t thank Ewing Subaru of Plano enough for all that they have done for Take Me Home Pet Rescue, and continue to do for them. The animals at Take Me Home Pet Rescue say thank you, too!

Ewing Subaru Supports My Possibilities

Ewing Subaru is a longtime community partner of My Possibilities (MP), a trailblazing nonprofit that provides continuing education and workforce development programs for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Through the Share the Love (STL) program, Ewing Subaru provides critical support towards MP’s career services programming for our Hugely Important People (HIPsters.) This year, we are pleased to share, Ewing Subaru and Share the Love generously donated $18,155 towards LaunchAbility Career Services programming at My Possibilities. These funds provide the training and resources needed to ensure HIPster receive competitively, supported employment in our community. SLT funds help HIPsters like Kyle R. obtain and maintain employment in the North Texas area. Kyle, with guidance from his job coach, Reggie, obtained a position at Total Hospice & Palliative Care (THPC) in November after serving as a volunteer. Kyle has flourished in this role in five short months. Kyle is responsible for stocking and organizing the supply room to ensure the nursing staff can effectively prepare to serve patients in their homes. Through brainstorming with THPC leadership and trial and error, Kyle and Reggie established accommodations to improve Kyle’s independence on the job as well as improve efficiencies in the business. These accommodations, which include visuals and organizing the space to serve Kyle’s learning style, assist all employees at THPC in organization and productivity. Kyle is a very proud THPC employee and enjoys improving efficiency for his team. Ewing Subaru’s support is vital to his success as well as many other HIPsters in the workforce. Thank you for making a difference for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and the North Texas community.
